I enjoy the activity of thinking and planning menus for Rosh Hashanah. This year I started even

earlier...I started the Sunday after we heard about the 6 hostages murdered by Hamas. I needed something positive, life affirming, and hopeful to look forward to. I looked through printed out recipes, cookbooks, old notes and took over the whole dining room table to plan my creations. I'm happy to share the end results now.
Some old favorites (I don't think I could get away with *not* making chicken soup and matza balls) a few new favorites, plus a few I-never-tried-this-but-what-could-be-bad recipes. Hope these recipes and plans start to get you in the mood for Rosh Hashanah and the rest of the High Holidays. May it be a year of health, happiness, and much more peace.
